February Updates: Leaping Into Action This Leap Year

February is the shortest month of the year. It also tends to be the coldest month of the year, which can make it seem to drag out for far longer than its 28-to-29 days. (In case you were wondering, it’s 29 this year). 

Here in the Popov Leather workshop, we’re not letting the cold get us down. And just like last month, we’re excited to welcome you to the workshop so you can enjoy this journey with us. Here’s what Popov Leather’s February updates have in store. 

We’re kicking off the month with some blink-and-you’ll-miss-them sales on top-rated items. 

Starting this Friday, anyone who subscribes to our emails will receive information about special one-day-only Friday flash sales. Each Friday, we’ll feature a different item in our store, and newsletter subscribers will receive a coupon code for a fantastic discount. 

If you’re not subscribed to our newsletter already, this is a great time to get on board. You’ll get a code for 10% off your first order at Popov Leather, and you’ll automatically be signed up to receive information about future discounts, sales, and giveaway events. 

In addition to our Friday flash sales, if you missed our Valentine’s Day event, you’ll have one more chance to give a long-lasting gift this year. Our newsletter subscribers will receive a special coupon on Valentine’s Day. Simply print off a picture of the item you purchase and tuck it into their card, or offer to let them choose their own wallet or tote bag this season.  

Did you know that a lot of the waste in landfills is put there by companies who refuse to resell items that were ordered but never actually used? We’ve seen environmentalists talk about the devastating impact this trend has, and we’re not about adding to the problem when there are more sustainable options. 

Instead, a few times a year, we host one-day grab-bag events. For these events, you can choose the type of wallet you want at a steep discount, but you don’t get to choose the leather or thread colors.

These wallets come from different sources and include: 

• Orders that were placed and then canceled at the last minute

• Wallets that we used for photo shoots

• Products that we may have made two of due to computer errors

These wallets have the same level of care and craftsmanship as everything else we produce at Popov Leather. And with the discount we’re offering, they’re a great option if you’re looking for a gift for someone and don’t know their color preferences or if you just care more about functionality than style. 

Our next grab bag event will be taking place toward the end of this month, on February 23rd, and will feature wallets for up to 50% off, so make sure to mark your calendar. 

Our newly-printed coasters and keychains have hit the storefront. But that’s not all that’s new to Popov Leather this month! Let’s see what other new products are stacking up. 

If you love the black and red color combo, keep an eye on our storefront. We are slowly rolling out a new color swatch on all of our hand-stitched leather items: black leather paired with red Tiger thread. We love how sharp and edgy this pairing is, and we’re excited to begin offering it as a standard swatch for Popov accessories. 

Last month, we teased a new brown color that will be available for certain items this month. We’re still waiting for the leather to hit our workshop, but keep an eye on our website and social media pages, because we can’t wait to show you what this new shade of brown looks like. It comes in two different thicknesses. The thinner, more supple leather will be available for some of our wallets, while the extra thick version will be used to make our most durable belts to date. This leather will be available for a limited time only, so if you find that you love this color as much as we do, make sure you put your order in ASAP.
