Mystery Leather Desk Pad

The quality of this piece is absolutely outstanding! Thick enough to lay flat on the desk, doesn't slide around, and will only gain character with use, which I love. I only docked a star because it arrived looking much, much darker and browner than shown in the photo.. So much so that I assumed I had mistakenly been sent the Heritage Brown, but apparently this is the new dye lot for English Tan. The difference definitely warrants updating the photos online imo, but I still decided not to return because I am otherwise very happy with the quality.

Just like the Popov interior gift pouch says "Been waiting for this". Wanted one of these full size leather desk pads for a while now, and when I saw the "Last Batch" deal, I pulled the trigger without hesitation. Happy with the random colour I received and the natural marks on it add to its character. Will give the computer area a nice luxury feel, nothing beats the aesthetics of real thick leather. Shipment was in a nice sturdy box, no transit damage worries.

I never write reviews for stuff like this, but here we are. Love this desk pad, and feel like it was the missing piece for my WFH set up. Buy this. You didn't know that you needed it, but you do.

As usual the quality of the desk pad that I purchased is top notch. Excellent quality of leather and classy looking.

I bought the desk pad in English Tan and it is beautiful. Goes very well on my dark table. Delivery was within a week from ordering it. Very good quality of leather. I'm very happy.

This thing is substantial- heavy and doesn't move around at all. Bought to protect the 'high traffic' area of my desk, and it does a good job of cushioning my wrists while typing as well. Heads up that It does soak up certain oils on solid wood that it sits directly on, for a bit, but nothing permanent. I use Feed-N-Wax (on the wood, not the leather) and after a couple of re-applications, it stops. (Happened with my mouse pad as well)

Great hand feel and super nice. Wireless mouse tracks differently now than with the black Popov mousepad I have, which is a tad annoying, but that's probably a mouse issue. It will either adjust or be replaced, desk pad stays.

I'm extremely happy with the desk pad - it looks awesome, is a good thickness, is of high quality, and has given my home office a nice leather scent. It feels very durable, and is easy to wipe clean too - I'm confident that this will last me a long, long time. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and glad that I opted for a quality leather pad, rather than a cheap synthetic one off Amazon.

I am very happy with the English Tan desk pad. The leather is thick and will patina nicely over the coming years. Finishing is also great, no frayed edges or burnt orange color like I read about in some other reviews.

This desk pad is even better than I was expecting, it's very high quality and well made. One of the earlier reviews had complaints about the edge looking frayed but mine does not have that issue at all, it is finished very nicely. I got the "natural" colour and it is darker than I was expecting but for me this is a good thing as I don't like the lighter colour look. It's very thick and sits nice and flat on my desk, giving it a professional feel and appearance. The only thing I could want would be a larger/taller size.

Unfortunately I'm very very disappointed with this desk mat. Shipping was super good it came beautifully packaged and arrived quickly but my issue with it is that it scratches SO EASILY. I swear to you, bread crumps have scratched it. I've had it a month and I've scratched it in hundreds of spots. And the scratches are not subtle. It's noticeable and drives me and my OCD crazy. I have never encounter a leather anything that does this. It's probably the worst leather thing I've ever owned by far. There is no way to prevent this from happening unfortunately.

The thickness and size of the desk pad is really great. It's the right size for my desk. However it's not perfect. The colour is not even close to English Tan. It's more of a burnt orange colour and this does not match with the valet tray I also purchased along with other several items in English Tan. I understand that the thickness of the leather played a major role in the colour but it should at least be a little close to the advertised colour. Secondly after just a few days of having the keyboard resting on top, the colour migrates where the rubberized keyboard feet have been resting as it would if the pad was stretched or pulled. However, this is leaving permanent light marks on the pad. I tried using pull-up cream to restore the spots but it did not work either. Not sure if this is normal and expected behaviour. As a workaround I have been placing small leather samples under each foot of the keyboard to prevent further scaring.

Came in the mail yesterday and put it on the home office desk. Absolutely love it! Walked into the office this morning and got a wiff of the leather. Looks great, feels great, and smells great! Popov products are worth every dime! :)

For the most part, I am satisfied while marginally disappointed. The hide used for my purchase was not the best. I understand the reason for some scarring, but there is also some patchy tanning work. It almost looks like it was done by hand to cover up a flawed area.I thought about returning the pad but decided that these defects were something I could live with. It was purchased at an attractive price after all.

The product description is accurate, this is so big I couldn't photograph it properly. Hard to describe the feeling of having this piece of slab in front of me. Looking forward to using it

It's definitely a beautiful leather pad. But there's a lot of darker coloring in the middle and also the four corners.

This is a nice looking desk pad from afar with a distinctive leather smell and a attractive finish. The only issue I have with this product is the edge has a lot of frays sticking out which detracts from the professional look of the desk pad. I'm not sure whether this is an intentional design or a defect in the cutting of this specific desk pad but I think it makes it look unfinished and messy unfortunately,

The wife got this for me as - her words - "the most boring Father's Day gift ever" and I love it. The leather is thick and luxurious, and the smell of leather makes working a breeze. Can't wait to get back to the office regularly so I can enjoy it every day

Perfect size for my desk, and beautiful leather. I always buy full grain to get the strongest piece, but the surface of this particular piece is just gorgeous, scars, wrinkles, and color variations abound. The dimensions were also very good for me. Enough for a full size keyboard, mouse on one side, and about 8 inches on the other side for anything else I need. I'll be back to buy more in the future. Quality leather perfect for my aesthetics!
