Leather Guitar Strap

After many years of wanting one, I recently acquired a Martin HD-28, and wanted it to have a worthy strap.
This beautiful strap did not disappoint!
Although it is slightly stiff (as expected) when brand new, it has quickly become softer, and its length is sufficient for tying on behind the nut.
I even love the smell!

Perfect length for an acoustic guitar. Looks and smells great. Exactly what I was looking for. Such a simple product, yet so many manufacturers get it wrong. This one works.

The strap is well made, it's simple and unadorned, all function. The leather looks great, and the underside of the leather has good traction. I'm using it on a pretty heavy P-bass and the 2 1/2" width spreads the weight well.

I’ve been looking for a leather handmade guitar strap for awhile and I saw an ad on Facebook from Popov Leather and I decided to give them a try. The strap arrived in the expected timeframe and I’m very impressed with the craftsmanship. I think my guitar likes it too! I installed the strap and my guitar has rewarded me by somehow being easier to play and sounding better than it ever has. I don’t understand it but I’m not complaining. I’ve now ordered a wallet and am looking forwards to its arrival so that my money can be happy as well.

Terrific quality and incredible workmanship. This strap is for a custom made parlor guitar with black walnut back and sides and a torrified Adirondack spruce top. The fit and look is perfect for this instrument and will probably last as long as the guitar.

Be careful. Once you buy one, you might decide you need one for every guitar in your collection.

I love the width and the colour of the strap. I found it took quite awhile to get it over the strap buttons due to it's thickness. Wonder if there's a way to soften the leather a little.

I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and have had MANY leather straps in that time. Never have I purchased a strap of such high quality. The thickness and stability is unrivalled. When I compared this strap to my 'main' one, it put the old one to shame. I bought another one right away and will by more over time.

I love these guitar straps, I would say the best on the market.

I've owned many guitar straps over the years, but never a leather one ,although Lord knows I've wanted one. I suppose I was concerned that it wouldn't be as adjustable as a standard strap and as a result the strap would be either too long or two short.
However, this thing fits me perfectly. My instrument is neither to low or too high. It really helps to have three strap holes to choose from as well.
Just looks perfect for what I'm rockin too! A vintage style guitar that looks better the more it's used deserves a strap the does just the same!
I just desperately want an actual leather strap based on the ones from the 50s and 60s ;)

Wow!! What a beautiful guitar strap!! And it's thick leather. Built to last.

This is a beautiful piece of leather that distributes weight evenly on your shoulder. I purchased this to replace a thin leather strap on my work bag. It feels much more comfortable than the original, and adds a little "rock and roll blues" vibe to a tool that used to remind me of the imperial capitalist complex's subjugation of my free spirit and time. People ask me all the time where I found a bag with a guitar strap. I tell them: "I didn't." I highly recommend for your guitar or messenger bag. I can't wait to witness the sick patina this fine leather will develop over the years!

It has been great! The leather quality is super. Love the raw backing that allows a non-slipping strap during usage. It could be about 1-1.5mm thinner to accommodate a rubber safety washer (a new common device used instead of the leather-damaging old strap locks). I would suggest making extra extension 1) medium-long for acoustic guitars 2) short-medium for electric guitars. Another idea, allow mixing the colors such as an English tan/Black mixed strap. That would be a cool option.

Great straps with thick leather, they match the finish of my Seagull and Fender very well. The thickness of the leather didn't leave room to use strap blocks for the strap button in the Seagull. They are a too thick to pair with my Fender strap locks but I can still put Fender strap blocks to the ends of the Stratocaster strap buttons just fine. They are a pleasure to use and I would highly recommend these over other name brand department store guitar straps I've tried. I'm hoping Popov releases a headstock strap adapter for guitars without top strap buttons in the future.

Having tried other vendors' straps (including Fender, D'Addario) This is by far the best guitar strap I've come across: strong, yet supple leather, very adjustible, and incredibly comfortable. Have already ordered multiples (for each of my instruments).
