Most bags at this price are built to last a season. They are split leather, the underside of the hide, sprayed with a finish so it reads as the real thing. When that finish wears through the bag looks worn out rather than worn in. Ours is 3/4oz full-grain leather with the grain intact, so there is no coating to crack.

The Everyday is the compact one, sized for a wallet, phone, keys, a small tablet and a water bottle while keeping a sleek silhouette, with an interior pocket. The Weekender is the larger tote, spacious enough to comfortably fit your laptop, planner, wallet, water bottle and even a change of clothes, with an inside pocket, an outside pocket and a brass key keeper clip. Same leather, same workshop, same guarantee.

A tote fails at the handles, because that is where the whole weight hangs. Ours are built for it, with solid rivets through the stress points and an industrial machine stitch on the seams. If you only inspect one thing on a leather bag before you buy it, inspect this.

Nothing is painted over the grain, so the leather is free to change. Sun, hands and daily use darken it into a patina that belongs to your bag and no one else's. A coated bag looks its best the day you buy it. This one does not.

Every tote is cut, riveted and sewn in our own workshop in Nelson, British Columbia. If it fails, we replace it. No receipts dug out of drawers, no fine print about normal wear. We can write the guarantee that way because we made the bag ourselves.
