STITCHED SO IT KEEPS ITS SHAPE
Most belts are a bare strap of leather. Under daily tension they stretch, sag, and start to curl at the tip, which is why an old belt looks tired long before it breaks. The Vanguard is machine stitched around its entire perimeter. The stitch locks the strap and stops the stretching.
EDGES FINISHED, NOT LEFT RAW
On a cheap belt the edge is cut and left, so it fuzzes and splits within a season. A dress edge should be closed. Every Vanguard edge is polished and dyed, and that single detail is what separates a belt you wear with a jacket from one you wear to mow the lawn.
SOLID BRASS, BUCKLE AND KEEPER
Plated zinc hardware pits and snaps, usually before the leather is even broken in. The Vanguard uses a solid brass buckle with a matching keeper, held on by solid brass Chicago screws. When you want a different look you swap the buckle yourself instead of replacing the belt.
THE WIDTH THAT READS DRESS
A wide strap fights a dress trouser loop and reads casual no matter how good the leather is. The Vanguard comes in a 1 inch width cut for dress loops, and a 1.5 inch if you would rather own one belt that works with a jacket and with jeans.
A TRUE BLACK FOR THE FORMAL END
The old rule still works: match the belt to the shoe. The Vanguard comes in four colours, and Black is a true black for suits and formal shoes. Heritage Brown, English Tan and Natural cover everything from the office to the weekend.

What size should I order?
Measure the belt you wear now, from the fold at the buckle to the hole you use. If you do not have a belt to measure, take the waist size of your favorite jeans and add 2 inches. Full instructions are in our Belt Sizing Guide.
What if I get the size wrong?
Send it back within 90 days and we will exchange it, no questions asked.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
If the belt fails, we replace it. That is the policy.
Which width should I choose, 1 inch or 1.5 inch?
The 1 inch is our dress width, cut to sit properly in dress trouser loops. The 1.5 inch is the wider everyday width that still works with a jacket. If the belt is mainly for work and dress trousers, choose the 1 inch.
