FULL-GRAIN VS TOP-GRAIN VS GENUINE
Full-grain keeps the outermost layer of the hide and its natural grain. Top-grain sands that surface away and refinishes it. Genuine leather is the grade below both, often bonded scrap. Only full-grain develops a patina, because only full-grain still has its original surface.
WHERE OUR LEATHER COMES FROM
Our leather comes from Seidel and arrives as 9oz full-grain sides. It is combination tanned, a chrome base with a vegetable re-tan, which is what gives the belt both durability and the ability to age.
HOW FULL GRAIN AGES
The aniline finish means nothing is painted over the grain. Sun, hands and wear darken the leather into a patina that is unique to you. A coated belt looks its best on day one. A full-grain belt looks its best in year five.
WHY HANDMADE CONSTRUCTION MATTERS
Each belt is cut, finished and edge-burnished by hand in our Nelson, BC workshop. Hand construction means a person inspected your exact belt, not a sample from the batch.

What size should I order?
Measure the belt you wear now, from the fold at the buckle to the hole you use. If you do not have a belt to measure, take the waist size of your favorite jeans and add 2 inches. Full instructions are in our Belt Sizing Guide.

Send it back within 90 days and we will exchange it, no questions asked.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
If the belt fails, we replace it. That is the policy.
